Script
Below is a script for our short film which we all put together. We all had a part of the film that we covered. I covered the first half while Billie took hold of the second half and Nathan covered the last half. It was then put together by Nathan.
Senseless Script
(Music fades in)
Scene with Nathan and
his mum
Mum: How can you carry on as normal? Don’t you
care? Your brother is dead. For god sake.
Nathan: Mum! Mum please! Mum, mum! Mum, I’m begging you please.
(Mum grabs Nathan and
throws him out then slams door in his face.)
(Mum opens door and
throws Nathans coat at him then closes door again)
(Music still playing)
In
Nathans RoomNathan: Pass my bag
Nathan puts drugs into the bag as Aaron watches.
Aaron puts his face in his hands
Music starts
*Music gets lower while they talk*
Nathan pats Aaron
Nathan: Are you looking?!
Aaron: Yess!
Nathan: Watch carefully
He puts the drugs into the bags
*music gets louder*
Next Scene: House scene where Aarons nose starts bleeding, rushes into bathroom.
Nathan: Lemme
give you something
Aaron: Can
I ask you something..
Nathan: What
is it?
Aaron: Can
you die from this?
Nathan: You
can’t.... Why would you ask that?
Aaron: I
was just wondering
Nathan:
Sell it for about 10, just make sure you
do it
Aaron: Hm…
(Nathan
approaches bridge)
Nathan: I’m
sorryy!

Filming Day 1- Plans Changed
On Saturday 11th October myself and my group met up up as we were going to film the alley way scenes and the scene at Nathans house. Due to problems with the actors we were unable to film those scenes. We decided to film the Olympic Park scenes and leave the other scenes for Wednesday 15th October.

Equipment Booking Form 2
Here is our second booking form for the camera and tripod. We are planning to film the Olympic Park scenes on Wednesday 15th October :
Change of plan
Originally we were going to film on Saturday 11th October to film our scenes from the alley way and Nathans house. However, due to the change in weather it will be difficult for us to film the alleyway scenes on saturday as it will be raining all day, as you can see below:
We have decided to just film the indoor scenes as we will not be affected by the weather and the re-schedule the alleyway scenes for a later date.

Filming Day 1 -Plan
We are planning to film the first part of our short film on Saturday 11th October. We have planned to meet up at Stratford Station from where we will make our way to the alley way and Nathans house, which is where the filming will take place.
Meetup Time: 11.00am
Wrap Time: 4.00pm
Depending on circumstances, filming will more or less last 4 and a half hours.
Within this time, we plan to film the group mugging in the alley way near Nathans house. We also plan to film the scenes of Nathan and his mother having an argument and then kicking him out.
The next scene will be him making his way towards the bridge.
The next time we will film will be Wednesday 15th October.

Talent Release Form
Here is our talent release form, this was my one of our actors parent to sign as he is under the age of 16.
Storyboard
Here is the storyboard that we created. Altogether there are ten pages and we have done a step by step of the different shots that we will take. This will make it easier for us to film as we can look at this and film the shots.
Above is the shots where Nathan will be walking on the pavement alongside traffic. We will also show the different body movements that he will do.
The next 6 shots above show Nathan sweating as he thinks about what happened. We will then go to a flashback of him and his brother .
The next 6 shots show Nathan walking and the encounter with the group of boys.
The 6 shots above show Nathan and his brother getting into a fight with the group where he is pushed to the group and is unable to help his brother.
Here you can see that Nathans brother has been badly attacked.
The next shots show Nathans brother dead with blood coming out of his head. This will be done by fake blood that we will buy. It will then go to the present and show Nathan frustrated and then go back to a flashback showing him helpless.
The next shots show you that we are out of the flashback and it is him entering the olympic park with long shots, cutting on action, close ups, and mid shots.
Here you will see him near the bridge and then a flashback of him talking to his mum.
Above is a continuation of the flashback where his mum kicks him out. We are then going to film a scene with Nathan feeling lonely and sitting along in the park on a bench.
Above you can see how helpless he is and you will see him walking towards the bridge.
In the scene above which is the last scene you will see him climb up onto the bridge, we will then end the film there.

Location 1 Recce- Olympic Park
These are some of the images that we took whilst at The Olympic Park. This is the location where we will be filming our main character who will be feeling guilty and will attempt to take his life. As stated earlier, we are going to leave this an open ending so the audience doesn't know if he commits suicide or not. We have decided that this location is ideal as it has a bridge which we need and below is a canal which is what we were looking for. We have also decided to film after College when we all finish at the same time. The timing will be around 3.00 pm so we do not have to worry about the lighting as it won't be as dark as expected.
When we were looking around the Olympic Park we needed to ask permission if it was possible for us to film there. We came across two security workers in the park who warned us that if we were to film in the park with the excuse of 'coursework' we would be fined £50. He then told us to say that if we were to film, we should say that it is for personal use. And also, to keep tripods out of the way. When we do come to film in the park, we need to be careful of any security.

Risk Assessment Form
As part of pre-production we have to fill out a risk assessment form. I have done so for the following location: Olympic Park, Stratford.
We have found that only 3 risks apply to us, they are:
Public/Crowds: As it is a public park there may be members of the public walking along the bridge and the stairs that we will be filming. In order to avoid this we will be filming at 3.00 pm which is when not many people are around. We cannot guarantee this but we will try our best to make sure that filming isn't disrupted.
Water/proximity to water: We also found that filming will be near to the water, we need to make sure that we don't get too close and keep all equipment with us at all times.
Working at heights: As we will be filming on a bridge we need to make sure that when filming shots from the actors angle, make sure to keep the camera close at hand and not to get too close as there is a danger of the camera falling from a height if not held properly and if it isn't screwed on to the tripod correctly.

As we have decided where we will be filming, we will go to our first location which is the Olympic Park and take pictures for our recce.

Change of Location
Originally, myself and my group chose the location 'Regents Park Canal'. When choosing a location you have to carry out a recce and travel back and forth whilst filming. Taking this all into consideration we have decided to change our location as Regents Park Canal would be difficult for us to travel to as we have assessed the time it will take to get there and back and also it is a difficult location to film in.
Due to this, we have decided to change our location to The Olympic Park Canal which also has a bridge which we need. This location is suitable for us because our other location is in Stratford so if we need to re film any scenes it is easy for us to get to the other location. It will also be easier for us to go back and forth and the distance between each is only 10 minutes.
We will soon visit the locations and produce a recce on them.
